Jokkers Pizza is a Fresh Concept.

While visiting the Detroit Metro area recently I came across a Pizzeria That was like none I’ve ever experienced. It was called Jokker’s Pizza. Although I can’t recall exactly where I saw it I believe it was in the Royal Oak area, I do recall their  very unique business concept. Which centered around freshness. You see it is easy for a pizzeria to buy a bunch of mass produced sauces and toppings along with other ingredients from the cheapest suppliers. However Jokkers pizza doesn’t do that. Instead they purchase their ingredients from farms and companies located right in Michigan. Michigan is known for having a rich agricultural industry producing everything from sugar and cheese to Italian sausage and even peperoni. Jokker’s pizza takes their commitment to freshness even further since all of their toppings are prepared daily. meaning if you order a pepperoni pizza the dough, the sauce, the cheese and the pepperoni were prepared that morning. The typical day begins before most people wake up when they start by making the special dough while that’s raising they begin to prepare the Pizza sauce (from scratch) as they get ready to slice 15 pounds of pepperoni to hold them over for that evenings . The store opens around 11 am 6 days a week they are closed on Sunday. They have an extensive selection of “Specialty Pizzas and the food is out of this world. So If you’re in the market for some unique pizza Try Jokker’s Pizza for quality that can’t be matched.

 The Pizza Industry RevealedMichigan born and raised, I began my education in culinary arts and the foodservice industry during High School in 1991, joined the Pizza Industry starting as an associate with Little Caesars, after graduating I took the opportunity to work many food service jobs, before returning to the industry with Pizza Hut, the no.1 pizza franchise in the U.S.A., after four years with them I switched to Dolly’s pizza, with whom I am currently employed.

      Now it is 2008 and I have accumulated over 15 years experience in the pizza industry. Throughout those years I have been able to absorb tips and tricks like a sponge soaking up lots of knowledge of this business. I am also an aspiring entrepreneur, and long to own and operate my own business, preferably a pizzeria.
